Digiovi

Automate door access codes around reservations with the Digiovi access control integration.

Digiovi is one of Thril's partners for access control. The integration generates reservation-specific access codes for electronic lock systems and syncs them with your venue's calendar. You assign which doors each code opens per resource, so customers get access only to the spaces they've booked.

Prerequisites

You need Digiovi hardware configured at your venue and a Digiovi customer ID and tag type ID. The Digiovi customer is created and managed by Thril together with Digiovi — if you don't have your customer ID, please contact Thril support.

Your Digiovi account must be set up together with Thril. Contact Thril support to set up your Digiovi account before enabling the integration.

To enable

  1. Open Settings → System → Integrations → Digiovi
  2. Enter the Digiovi customer ID and Tag type ID
  3. Configure the access offset times and fallback instructions (see below)
  4. Toggle Integration status to Active
  5. Select Create integration (or Update integration) to save
  6. Optionally verify the setup with the Test connection button

Once you've saved, the customer ID and tag type ID are treated as secrets and are never shown again. Leave those fields blank when updating to keep the stored values, or re-enter them to change them.

Configuration options

  • Access offset times: how many minutes before and after a reservation door access is available to customers
  • Fallback instructions: a message shown to customers if Thril detects an issue with Digiovi (for example, "If your access code doesn't work, you can use our backup code 9999#."). Enable Always show fallback instructions to display it to all customers regardless of Digiovi's status — useful during a known outage. You can also set resource-specific fallback instructions under each resource's settings.

Assigning access levels to resources

Door codes are only generated for resources that have a Digiovi access level assigned.

  1. Open the settings for a court or bookable space
  2. Under the integration settings, set Assigned Digiovi access level
  3. The access level defines which doors the reservation code opens

If no access level is set for a resource, reservations made for it are not synced to Digiovi and no door code is generated.

Syncing existing reservations

After enabling the integration, use the Sync reservations button to push upcoming reservations to Digiovi. This is helpful when you first connect the integration so existing bookings get access codes. The button is available once the integration is active.

Troubleshooting

  • Use Test connection to verify your configuration. Thril support may ask for this information when troubleshooting.
  • Inactivating the integration stops new reservations from syncing to Digiovi. Reservations already synced are not affected — Thril still cleans up already-synced door codes from Digiovi when they expire.
  • For help configuring your Digiovi hardware or software outside of Thril, contact your Digiovi contact person. For help with the integration in Thril, contact Thril support.
